BETHESDA, MD., September 16, 2004 - Cyon Research Corporation, a provider of consulting and research for engineering technology markets, today announced that registration is now open for COFES2005: The Congress on the Future of Engineering Software.

This sixth annual event will be held in Scottsdale, AZ, April 14-17, 2005, and is anticipated to continue the mindshare and success it has experienced in the past four years. Attendance at COFES is carefully controlled. The 2003 and 2004 events welcomed 180 and 220 attendees, respectively. COFES2005 will be opened to 250. Event sponsorships are expected to be filled four months earlier than ever before. Companies currently holding sponsorships include HP as title sponsor, UG, Adobe, Océ, Open Design Alliance, KollabNet, PTC, Spatial Corp., and Z-Corp.

“COFES brings users, vendors and industry analysts together in a conversation that clarifies issues and futures in the engineering automation industry,” said Brad Holtz, CEO and president, Cyon Research. “This event has an impact on the way everyone views, understands and benefits from the new technologies coming towards all of us and how they will continue to mold our future business.”

COFES is only open to invited attendees. Invitations, which include personalized registration codes, are now being sent out to prior invitees. If you believe that you should be considered for an invitation for COFES2005, you may request one at www.cofes.com/2005/register. In addition to industry vendors, COFES invitees are drawn from C-level executives at companies that use engineering software tools: companies engaged in architecture, manufacturing, GIS, EDA, and plant engineering.
