BETHESDA, Md., April 2, 2004 - Cyon Research Corporation, a provider of consulting and research for engineering technology markets and host of COFES 2004, the Congress On the Future of Engineering Software, today announced that the event has opened to record attendance for the second year running.

COFES 2004, held at Scottsdale Plaza Resort, Scottsdale, AZ April 1-4, 2004, is the industry's only annual think tank event, bringing executives from design, engineering, architectural, development, and technology companies together to better understand the role engineering technology will play in the future survival and success of their business.

"The tremendous demand for COFES this year reinforces the industry's need to still communicate face-to-face even in a world of Internet and email communications," stated Brad Holtz, president and CEO, Cyon Research. "COFES 2004 almost sold out of attendee space. This is a great indicator that there are economic and market improvements that are positive for everyone in the industry."

Hewlett Packard is again the title sponsor of COFES. Microsoft, UGS PLM Solutions, Fortune, and OCE are also sponsors of the receptions and dinners throughout the conference.

"COFES is a great place to discuss the latest changes and developments in the CAD industry, and the implications for future success," said Tom Salomone, Mechanical Design Automation Worldwide Segment Manager, Hewlett Packard. "This is true not only for what is currently making news, but for what will evolve in the next 1 - 2 years. Networking with key industry leaders means these visions are significantly more than speculation, and are in reality the forefront of industry change."

The event welcomes an increased amount of Technology Suite vendors from 2003, including first time appearances for Adobe, Autodesk, Kollabnet, MSC.Software, Open Design Alliance, and PTC. Returning vendors include Graphisoft, IBM/Dassault Systems, Intel, Microsoft, and UGS PLM Solutions.

"Graphisoft is proud to be associated with an innovative organization such as COFES. COFES' annual event provides measurable value by bringing together the leaders in our industry," said Mark Sawyer, vice-president of worldwide field operations at Graphisoft, creator of the Virtual Building Solution. "In our experience, the environment at COFES encourages the discussion of compelling issues and technologies, and facilitates strong relationships with all industry professionals."
